KODAKARAJIMA
Perhaps because of its 8-minute one-way route, this island has the most ferry departures among Saga Prefecture’s remote islands. Prioritize islands with fewer departures when scheduling, then squeeze this island into the gaps. However, note that its ferry terminal is located separately from those of other nearby islands.
・The island is sometimes called Battleship Island because it appears trapezoidal when viewed from Karatsu city. ・You can see emus at Kanjū Island Park. However, from November to April is their breeding season. Also, they can only be seen from the roadside.

When it’s cold, I have to go to the bathroom more often.
Big trouble. The waiting room was opened for us by a crew member from Kamishu Island. I couldn’t just pee standing up, it was cold, and it was just awful. There are no other restrooms around here. I went at the station, but when it’s cold, you end up going more often.
A unique village where the slopes and ruins stand out in a good way
It’s got a pretty nice vibe.
The shrine viewed from the mountaintop near the village
It’s quite a rewarding village to walk around. I even pushed back my scheduled return ferry by two departures just to explore.
