【Island Features】
The current state is not like the houses visible in Google Maps satellite imagery, but rather overgrown with vegetation.
Roads outside the southern area where the settlement is located are effectively impassable.
There used to be an organization with a chairman and vice-chairman, and many islanders lived together harmoniously.
六島(MUSHIMA) ‘ scenery
Intended for a long exploration, but due to rough seas, the stay was short.
I was given about 10 minutes. They let me disembark without any extra charge.
This would usually incur an additional fee on other routes, but everywhere in this area had a “since you came all this way” attitude. Thank you very much.
I had planned to stay overnight on Nozaki Island the previous day, but the scheduled ferry to Nozaki and Rokushima was canceled.
Because of this rescheduling, I only stayed on Rokushima for about 10 minutes on this day. I did a day trip trekking to Nozaki Island instead, which I couldn’t visit the day before.
Rokushima still has a school building there. I don’t think I’d feel comfortable going alone, even during the day. Since I started visiting ruins, I’ve gotten haunted by various things, so I think it’s better not to go even during the day.
But this school might be okay. Maybe because it’s a place touched by the children’s positive energy.
As long as it’s not nighttime, I don’t sense anything lingering in the school.
Factories and such were definitely too much for me.

The Mushima materials were virtually absent even from the personal archives of the historian on Ojika Island.
I was able to get in touch with a relative of the famous historian from Ojika Island through an intermediary.
My sincere thanks to everyone involved.
I searched for documents about Rokushima, but it seems they have virtually none either.
Unless you’re someone who personally visits Rokushima and shares information, it seems the only source left is this internet information.

Thank you for sharing your photos online!
They’ll be incredibly helpful for future generations too.
