Jurong Island(ジュロン島)

KODAKARAJIMA

Jurong Island is the island shown within the red frame. Land reclamation work has been ongoing for many years, and the island continues to expand.
There is a checkpoint on the land route to Singapore Island, which is guarded by the Singapore Armed Forces.

Jurong Island is, after all, an area of dense infrastructure in Singapore and is under military jurisdiction.

There are many stations and areas on the main island of Singapore that use the name Jurong, such as Jurong East. As a result, many tourists visiting Singapore misunderstand this fact.

This island that is difficult to photograph due to the high barricades and trees surrounding it.

SAGA-TAKASHIMA

Photography and approaching this island are prohibited. However, landscape photos can be found on the internet, so it seems that photography from a distance is allowed.

Since there are no permanent residents, it is treated as an uninhabited island. I visited the surrounding area, but no high-rise buildings are being constructed nearby (for terrorism prevention). It is easier to find at night than during the day, as there are factory night views to serve as landmarks. My relatives have forbidden me from wandering around the Jurong area at night, so I only have photos taken during the day. It was possible to take photos from the Hell Preview Facility.
