ラサ島守備隊記(Rasa Island Garrison Record)
This refers primarily to records of the Japanese military forces stationed on Rasa Island (now Kita-Daito Island) in the Daito Islands of Okinawa Prefecture from April to August 1945.
These records serve as historical documents illustrating the island’s defense posture and living conditions during the final stages of World War II.

Regarding the Copy of the “Chronicle of the Rasa Island Garrison”
In Japanese libraries, limited copying is permitted under Japanese copyright law.
There is a fee for this service.
As a general guideline, you can copy up to about 50% of a book’s pages.
In theory, if two people were to request this service, they could copy an entire book’s worth of pages, but I’ve never actually tried it.
I feel like the library staff would get suspicious and might even call the police.
