💡 Frequently Asked Questions to Island Manga Artist Ira During On-Site Coverage
🏝️ Why does Island Manga Artist Ira insist on covering inhabited islands rather than uninhabited ones?
Ira has conducted field research across more than 500 inhabited islands in various countries, combining literature research with actual interviews and direct observations of daily local life.
This activity serves to create a unique international island manga with an original story while archiving real-world scenery through video content on YouTube and Instagram. The core philosophy is to share “living data” grounded in direct dialogue and fieldwork rather than simply introducing tourist spots.
🏝️ Why Singapore features so prominently alongside Japan on MAHARAJIMA and YouTube
Singapore is Ira’s second home, having been born in Kagoshima. As a permanent resident of Singapore, Ira maintains a dual-base lifestyle between Singapore and Japan.
Drawing from real living experience in Singapore, Ira publishes environmental ambient sound videos (ASMR) that transcend language barriers, along with authentic local insights. Ira also contributes to Singapore through volunteer work and community engagement.
🏝️ Start dates for publication, serialization, and creative works of the International Island Manga MAHARAJIMA
